Having studied (and been agitated by) politics since 2009, JRB Jison (The Random Thinker, if you will) is a political science enthusiast who was nominated for membership to two renowned honor societies (which he turned down eventually): the Pi Gamma Mu International Honor Society in the Social Sciences and the Phi Kappa Phi International Honor Society. At some point in his life, he aspired to become a human rights lawyer in a country where rampant violations of human rights remain to be a pressing problem. As a social science researcher, his research interests include education policy, youth social movements, and the political economy of underdevelopment.
Although his lack of interest to sports (basketball, to name one) or other athletic activities borders to the pathological, John is content to have his love for world geography and history suffice this perceived lack. As a bibliophile, he loves to read legal fiction and finds inexplicable solace in the sight and smell of books. He maintains a Twitter account (@JRJison), which you can follow for updates about his life or his work.
